Animé

His series of recordings with orchestras (mainly Polish) for the Japanese animé film industry are legendary. The composers he has worked with most often are Yoko Kanno and Akira Senju, both extremely well respected animé composers. This is another example of one of his assets. Very often he will not receive a score until the night before the recording, and occasionally not until the orchestra sees it for the first time as well. However he has the ability to look at the score and know immediately tempo, style and "the way it should be performed".
